Happy accident or terrible mistake?

Here is the granite that was installed in our new home. We asked for Golden Beach and we got something entirely different. Do we keep it or send it back? Comments are welcome.

Mer,

I think it looks good with the cabinets and all. I say keep it.

It actually compliments the cabinetry. I think it looks nice. Plus, I'm sure youdon't want to deal with trying to get it done all over again. :)

Considering how much you're nomadic hearts are pining to stay put in one place for a time, I would think that you want to be satisfied and absolutely, utterly pleased with the space you are putting every ounce of energy into.

If I didn't know it was a mistake, I'd say keep it, because the contrasting tones with the finish of the wood work is lovely. But then, when I look at it more, its more like "oil spill on golden beach".

Send It Back!

The more I look at it the more I like it, and I also think that having such a large kitchen a bold counter top makes sense to me.

Personally, if I am building my own home, I want what I want, but on the other hand you gotta pick and choose your battles.

Personally I really like it. It compliments the cabinetry as everyone else has already commented... but I also think it's a little bit different that what you see in EVERY house. Whether you are staying or going, you dont want it to be EVERY house do you? standing out a little bit in an attractive way, isnt a bad thing. I would say keep it. I think if it were me, I would be pleased with a "mistake" like this one. Love you guys!

I think we are going to keep it. I like it more every time I see it. It is definitely not boring.
