Where a kid can be a kid

Okay, so we decided to do something fun for Alex's birthday. What could we do? Amusement Park? Zoo? Children's museum? Movie? Still too little for those places. Where else was there but our neighborhood Chuck E Cheese. Going to that place brought back memories. There was a Chuck E Cheese back in Murray (Salt Lake) that I remember going to for a birthday party. Except back then this place was called something else. I can't remember now. But I think I had pizza there with almond slices on it. Odd. Very odd.
I think Alex enjoyed Chuck E Cheese's. He rode on the sedate rides like "Clifford the Big Red Dog" and played a game where he had to whack a shark. And he got to watch Erin and I play Ski-Ball. By the end of the evening we had enough tickets to leave with a slinky for Alex and two tootsie rolls. I highly recommend it.

Birthday Boy

Today, Alex turns 1 year old. He doesn't really know that it is his birthday. He keeps calling everything a circle. He loves that word. In some ways this year has gone by in the blink of an eye and in other ways it seems like we have always had Alex. He is so much fun and we are blessed to have him in our lives.

We finally started our blog.

After weeks of saying, "Hey, maybe we should have a blog too." We finally made one. Soon we will be posting all kinds of things (Nothing too crazy though). Of course, Alex will have his say too. Right now that would be, "Circle." Everything is a circle.
